Mr. & Mrs.

It was incredible!
When I woke up at 6:30, the day did feel different, and its weird because how is that possible. Days don’t change. Me and my boys went on a cloudy cold boat cruise, topped off with a cloudy cold jump in the St. Lawrence before noon. Took me an hour before my hands stopped being numb.
The last 60 minutes went by so quickly, time slipping away in conversational moments, interspersed with “where the hell are my cufflinks and who is setting up the cameras!”
I was much more calm than I expected, our friends backing us up when we needed them, the sun came out just before the ceremony, and as much as I tried, I cried as soon as I saw my beautiful girl. The ceremony was perfect, with a pair of Blue Herons in the trees watching over us, the sun shinning bright and the tears flowing freely. Alex looked beautiful, her gorgeous smile making me melt. To be able to look at her when it was done and say “we did it!” was incredible!
The reception was amazing, the food, the company, the speeches. We all laughed and cried again, straight through to the first dance with Alex and Brian, and I was a blubbering mess with my mom’s first dance. The partying was out of control, as should be expected with my friends and family.
The friends, the smiles, the dancing, the drinks and cigars filling the air.
We were completely spent by one in the morning, when we decided it was time to move on to more important things… the honeymoon suite. A beautiful end to a perfect day.
